The report aims to help bridge the gap between stakeholder management theory and practice by showing and discussing the methods / tools and experience gained by BaltSeaPlan partners dealing with stakeholders in MSP. It provides recommendations, guidance and inspiration for stakeholder management of future MSP processes. A case study for stakeholder involvement in Lativa has also been documented.

Implementation Context
The "Stakeholder Involvement in MSP" report was developed on the basis of the experience acquired through the pilot planning processes in the framework of the BaltSeaPlan project, as well as other projects (e.g. BALANCE, PlanCoast).
Aspects / Objectives
This report aims to help address the literature gap on stakeholder management in Maritime Spatial Planning by presenting and discussing the methods / tools and experience gained by BaltSeaPlan partners then dealing with stakeholders in MSP. On this basis, it provides recommendations, guidance and inspiration for stakeholder management of future MSP processes, while demonstrating that there is no “one size fits all” approach or solution.

Transferability
The “Stakeholders Involvement in MSP” report draws mainly from experience on the Baltic Sea Region, but the recommendations can be applied in any sea basin.
