About the Project:

SeaGIS 2.0 is a follow-up project to the SeaGIS project.

The main objective of the project was to promote a sustainable use of the marine environment and a responsible use of marine resources. Within the main objective, which was about ecological sustainability, the project aimed to facilitate and to inspire blue growth in the region, i.e. that marine and maritime industries are enabled to grow. To achieve the objectives, the project provided data, methods and collaborative networks that enabled a more integrated planning and management of marine and coastal areas. SeaGIS 2.0 strived to find common solutions to achieve ecological, economic and social sustainability and development in the region.
