The Our Ocean conference realised a total of nearly 300 commitments, from which 100 came from the private sector. The 36 commitments from the EU pledge 550 million euros. The total pledge of the EU, together with the Member States and the European Investment Bank, exceeds 2.8 billion euros. The UN Climate Change Conference COP23 is taking place from 6 - 23 November in Bonn, Germany, with a special day dedicated to oceans and coastal zones.
