The One Ocean Summit

The One Ocean Summit aims to raise the international community’s level of ambition on maritime issues; to translate our shared responsibility for the Ocean into concrete actions.

A high-level segment will take place on February 11 morning with Heads of State and Government, as well as leaders of international organisations, local authorities, civil society, business and finance – all ready to commit to concrete responses and ambitious initiatives. The focus will be on the protection of marine ecosystems and sustainable fisheries, the fight against pollution (especially plastic), climate change, and ocean governance.

The high-level segment will be preceded by diverse preparatory events on February 9 and 10. exploring a multitude of subjects with a global scope, thus addressing the ocean in all its dimensions by bringing forth an ‘ocean of solutions’.

Due to health measures related to the COVID-19 epidemic, reception of public in Brest will be limited. The high-level segment of the One Ocean Summit will be broadcast live. Upon registration, you will be able to watch the events on February 9 and 10 and interact with the speakers on the digital portal set up for the occasion.
