The European Commission has issued a new contract to safeguard and further develop the European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODnet). Building on EMODnet's existing methodological frameworks and processes, the contract aims to ensure the long-term resilience of global ocean data flows and resources, while guaranteeing continued free and open access to marine data and metadata for users worldwide.
