2nd Copernicus Marine Service User Uptake Open Call

The aim of this new call involves promoting demonstrations of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services and developing the elements needed for the implementation of these services.
In the frame of the User Uptake program, MERCATOR OCEAN aims to enhance the usefulness and use of CMEMS information, to reinforce user loyalty and to attract new users.

This consultation is divided into twelve lots dedicated to the developments and the promotions of demonstrations of CMEMS downstream services.

• Lot 1: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on the Arctic Ocean region from 62°N to the North Pole and developing the functional elements needed for these services.
• Lot 2: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on the Arctic Ocean region from 62°N to the North Pole and developing the functional elements needed for these services.
• Lot 3: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on the Baltic Sea and developing the functional elements needed for these services. This region includes the Black Sea from the Bosphorus Strait.
• Lot 4: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on the Baltic Sea and developing the functional elements needed for these services. This region includes the Black Sea from the Bosphorus Strait.
• Lot 5: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on European North West Shelf seas and developing the functional elements needed for these services. This region includes the north-east part of the Atlantic Ocean from 48°N to 62°N and from 20°W to 13°E. The boundary with the Baltic Sea is located at the Kattegat Strait at 57.5°N from 10.5°E to 12°E.
• Lot 6: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on European North West Shelf seas and developing the functional elements needed for these services.
• This region includes the north-east part of the Atlantic Ocean from 48°N to 62°N and from 20°W to 13°E. The boundary with the Baltic Sea is located at the Kattegat Strait at 57.5°N from 10.5°E to 12°E.
• Lot 7: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on Iberian-Biscay-Irish regional seas and developing the functional elements needed for these services. This region includes the north-east part of the Atlantic Ocean from 26°N to 56°N and from 20°W to the coast. The boundary with the Mediterranean Sea is located at the Strait of Gibraltar (Islas de las Palomas) at 5.61°W.
• Lot 8: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on the Mediterranean Sea and developing the functional elements needed for these services. This region includes the entire Mediterranean Sea from the Strait of Gibraltar (Islas de las Palomas) at 5.61°W to the Dardanelles Strait at 26°E.
• Lot 9: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on the Black Sea and developing the functional elements needed for these services. This region includes the whole of the Black Sea from the Bosphorus Strait.
• Lot 10: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on the Black Sea and developing the functional elements needed for these services. This region includes the whole of the Black Sea from the Bosphorus Strait.
• Lot 11: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on Global Ocean and developing the functional elements needed for these services. This region includes oceans and seas of the world except European Seas and Arctic Ocean.
• Lot 12: Promoting the demonstration of coastal, operational CMEMS downstream services on Global Ocean and developing the functional elements needed for these services. This region includes oceans and seas of the world except European Seas and Arctic Ocean.
