The AM MSP team is delighted to be speaking at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research Workshop ‘Drivers of Climate Risks: Towards Operational Impact Attribution’ on how to effectively communicate impact attribution results to different communities of practitioners, decision-makers, researchers and the general public.
Methods and approaches for risk communication in Climate-smart MSP will be discussed, based on our recent study on Integration of climate-smart trends and new technologies in maritime spatial planning (October 2024).
This one-day, on-site event will bring together researchers focused on impact attribution to explore potential methods, approaches, and the role of prospective operational attribution systems in risk communication.
The workshop is organized by the Horizon Europe project COMPASS, which seeks to develop a harmonized yet flexible methodological framework for climate and impact attribution across various complex extremes, including compound, sequential, and cascading hazard events. The event will provide a platform for exchanging ideas between project researchers and the broader natural hazards community, particularly in the Potsdam/Berlin area.
