The “International Ocean Data Conference 2022 – The Data We Need for the Ocean We Want” is approaching and will be held in a hybrid format from 14 to 16 February 2022 in Poland. The main objectives of this Conference are (i) to consider regional and global strategies and policies needed to achieve the digital ecosystem; (ii) to discuss existing and required technological developments and their implementation; and (iii) to identify future directions in ocean data and information management. Furthermore, these objectives will be considered within the multi-sectoral vision of the Ocean Decade.
We are delighted that two papers submitted by the Technical Expert Group (TEG) on Data for MSP have been selected for presentation during the conference. Both abstracts, “Technical solution for harmonizing EU Maritime Spatial Planning within EMODnet” and “Towards a metadata profile for Marine Spatial Plans in Europe”, will be presented on Monday the 14th of February during session 2: "Implementing the digital commons".
More information on the conference is available here.
