This workshop is organised by RGI (Renewable Grid Initiative) and DRIFT as part of the JustWind4All project, an EU Horizon project wich aimed to find just and effective governance solutions and tools for accelerating wind energy in the EU.
The aim of this workshop is to test out a decision-making tool with the North Sea basin stakeholders. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to co-creatively explore the next major steps in offshore wind energy development and answer the questions ‘How can we reach just energy transition at sea basin level in the North Sea by 2030?’ and ‘What should the first steps be to get there?’.
During the workshop the following topics will be explored:
- The definition and implications of just transition in the context of offshore wind energy
- Current barriers in achieving just transition in the North Sea basin
- Potential scenarios and your vision for future development of offshore wind energy in the North Sea
- Strategies to reach a just energy transition in the North Sea basin
This workshop is by invitation only. Please contact ana [at] renewables-grid.eu (ana[at]renewables-grid[dot]eu) if you wish to participate.
