This multi-use initiative is currently being developed by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in the framework of the ULTFARMS project and aims to develop Low Trophic Aquaculture (LTA) in offshore wind farm. The pilot is located in the Anholt offshore wind farm, operated by Ørsted Wind Power and which comprises of 111 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 400MW.
The objectives of the project are to test, develop and adapt existing and emerging aquaculture technologies to endure offshore conditions. It also aims to support environmental and biodiversity monitoring.
